ABOUT PATRICK

MEET PATRICK

Patrick Connick is a life-long resident of the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. This is where he grew up, went to school, raised his family, and lives to this day.

Before becoming legislator, Patrick served as an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish and a Magistrate for the Town of Grand Isle. As an Assistant DA, he confronted murderers, rapists, and drug dealers and put them behind bars. As Magistrate for the Town of Grand Isle, he implemented innovative programs to assist and protect victims of domestic abuse.

With a remarkable history of collaboration alongside his predecessor, Sen. Alario, Patrick Connick has demonstrated his prowess in shaping impactful legislation that addresses critical issues and uplifts our community. His achievements resonate deeply and touch upon a wide array of areas, resulting in tangible improvements for the people he serves.

Patrick Connick has safeguarded vulnerable populations by preventing domestic violence and establishing safeguards for children against sexual predators. He's a strong advocate for local industries, protecting shrimpers and crabbers from oil spill fallout, excessive regulations, and foreign imports. Patrick secured hundreds of millions for coastal restoration, exposed waste to save over $250 million in tolls, enhanced infrastructure, cared for the community through projects like Hope Haven, advanced women's health with 3-D mammograms, and invested in recreation, enriching family opportunities at Parc de Familles. Patrick has been instrumental in securing funding for the preservation and restoration of historical properties in Marrero.

Patrick is a devoted husband to Rhonda Connick and a loving father to three children: Patrick Jr., Sarah, and Ellie. His family values and dedication to community welfare shine through in his legislative endeavors and commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
