Dishonest politician Tim Kerner is trying to pull a bag over the heads of voters. Our neighbors know that Senator Patrick Connick is the fighter and advocate that we need in Baton Rouge. From his time as a prosecutor and State Representative to his current position as State Senator, Patrick Connick has fought for the values most important to District 8.
Senator Connick is an attorney who represents children of sexual abuse. In 2008, he was instrumental in having the St. Tammany Parish School Board change its background check procedure, which prevents any teacher or staff from being hired prior to the school receiving clearance from the FBI and the State Police.
Over the last 16 years, Senator Connick has personally written and passed the following laws to protect children from abuse:
2010 Legislative Session
2014 Legislative Session
2016 Legislative Session
2017 Legislative Session
2019 Legislative Session
2022 Legislative Session

He's been a strong proponent for the health and welfare of families and children his entire career and was awarded the Louisiana Family Forum's title of Family Advocate in 2022.
Senator Connick's publicly available voting record is clear!
As for COVID mandates, Senator Connick opposes them.
Senator Connick strongly stands in support of Amendment 2 on this year's ballot which will make it unconstitutional for the Government to restrict parishioners from attending Church. The government denied access to congregate in Churches during the COVID-19 pandemic and this law will prevent the government from controlling when and where individuals are able to practice their faith.
Senator Patrick Connick prioritizes child safety in our schools. In a 2012 court case against the St. Tammany Parish School Board, he represented parents who alleged negligence in a school janitor's hiring, retention, and supervision, leading to their child's molestation.
Senator Connick’s unwavering dedication to community safety is evident through his 2009 legislation, HB476, aimed at
cracking down on sex offenders who prey on our most vulnerable by:
